Christmas Wishlist!!!
A few of my FAVORITE things that you need to know about – and a few things I want for Christmas!
Hope you get ideas/ inspiration. Happy Holidays! xx
Tie dye wetsuit
I don’t actually surf a whole lot, but when I do, I want to be wearing this. I’ve always LOVED tie dye. Plus, oddly, I find neoprene immensely comforting to wear – it’s warm and supple and compresses you gently, like a hug. I swear, when I go back to Chicago to visit my fiancé’s family, I will be wearing this as my long underwear. For serious.

Le Feu de L’eau
I fell in love with these candles when I had a chance to smell and handle them at a little shop in Ojai. They are locally made with an underwater wax sculpting process and smell incredible. I love how unique they are and they also have this vibe of high-end hippie. OMG, no one steal that, that’s going to be the name of something I do!
Definitely indulging in one for Christmas. The gris and ivoire ones were my faves in terms of scent.

Riddle Oil
I CANNOT believe I am sharing this with you. This is a total secret. This stuff smells sooo amazing. Super subtle and long lasting. I don’t know what is in this, but I will say, most perfumes smell awful on me – they become cloying and chemical-ly and the dry-down is like a descent into a bargain basement. Just awful. (I have found some that work, but that’s a tale for another time)
Riddle is different – I can wear it every day, not feel like I’m annoying the whole plane when I have it on and it legit has some pheremone action going because I get so many compliments.
Whereas with basically all perfumes, I would highly encourage you to try before you buy, I will confidently tell you to buy this stuff NOW and it will smell like you want it to. For serious.

OA Diffuser
The best, most classy, most beautiful, most effective aromatherapy diffuser on the planet. I’ve been through a few diffusers in my time and this one blows them all out of the water, in terms of efficacy, quality and looks. The best part is that each diffuser comes with a little bottle of OA’s “Signature Blend” which is truly delightful. And I say this as a snobby, demanding aromatherapy expert. Gamechanging and you will never go back. The only thing this is NOT good for is experimenting with your own blends because it’s not that easy to “undo” something you put in there – so only diffuse stuff you know you enjoy and leave the experimenting to an easier to clean/swap out diffuser.

Wildbrine Fermented Veggies
Being polish, I love me some sauerkraut. Being a foodie, I love me some serious flavor and creativity. I prefer fermented foods over probiotic supplements because they are more effective – more live cultures, and you get the added benefits of the nutrients in the veggies becoming more bioavailable through the fermentation process. On a recent WF binge, I discovered this company and was overjoyed to find someone actually “getting” the art and potential of fermentation. These foods are colorful, delicious and incredibly healthy. There’s a range of flavors and veggies, so even if sauerkraut doesn’t float your boat, I guarantee this is a whole different ball game.
The only downside is (if at all) you can’t order them online since they need to be refrigerated. But hopefully your local WF has them. If you can’t find them, it can’t hurt to ask your closest natural grocer to consider stocking them. So healthy, so delicious.

Spoonk Mat
So far, everything besides the tie dye wetsuit I’ve tried and simply LOVE. Have not tried this mat, but it was recommended by a blogger I love, Katie Dalebout. Basically it’s a mat covered with sharp rubber spikes! But it works along the principles of acupressure and is supposed to help with stress and tension relief. It is also supposed to help you sleep better and deeper. You can stand on it, lie on it, put your face on it and generally get creative with it. I want to try it! Someone get this for me for Christmas! 🙂

Dharma Yoga Wheel
Speaking of fun things that help de-stress, the Dharma Wheel is also something I have yet to try but looks sooooo amazing. What a great idea. Awesome for stretching the back, hip flexors, opening the shoulders and in general for playing around with balance and getting back into your body while lolling about on the floor for a few minutes.

Printed Yoga Mat
I am such a sucker for anything Aztec/Native American/Mexican inspired. Honestly, these yoga mats won’t cut it for a sweaty, high-power vinyasa class, but for your basic, more gentle yoga practice, they’re pretty. (If you’re interested, I hear the best sweaty yoga mat is the lululemon one. I just put a yogitoes towel over my regular mat when Ima sweat alot.)

Manatea Tea Infuser
I drink a lot of tea, and I make a lot of tea, so I have a BUNCH of loose leaf blends floating around. These are the cutest, and as far as tea infusers go, they are a good size – not too big, not too small. Awesome for a stocking stuffer – speaking of which, do you guys stuff stockings? We don’t…

Bacio di Miele Lip Goodness
Not to brag, and not to get you too excited, but I think I just invented the perfect lip balm, texture and effectiveness-wise. I’m obsessed with this and have already co-opted like 5 sticks that I have in all my places, so I will never be without BdM. So perfect for reviving and protecting dry and chapped wintery lips. I can’t believe how addicted I am – and all my test subjects report the same! 🙂
Who else uses Muru Muru and Kokum butters as well as Marshmallow and Rose in the their lip balms? No one. So special.
Silicone Microwave Steamer
In all honesty, I make most of my food in the microwave. These steamers are supposed to help preserve the integrity of the nutrients and give better texture when cooking things like fish and veggies. You can even cook eggs. There’s also a ceramic steamer (do a search on Amazon) that even lets you poach eggs in the ol’ MW. Let’s be honest – time-saving, health-increasing tools such as a silicone microwave steamer are kind of cool.
