Here at moss, we believe true beauty comes from true bliss. In another post we’ll dive deeper into the subtle science of Ayurveda and see a little bit more about how the health of the body is connected to the health of the mind and spirit. But suffice it to say, and you know I’m right – if you’re feeling that goddess, authentic, confident vibe, then the world feels like it’s your oyster. And any issues you have with doubting the beauty of your face or your body, seem smaller and farther away. As much as I want to help you guys with your skin, and give you the most marvelous, beautiful things to put on it, I also want you to start living a life you love NOW, regardless of if your skin or body seems to be cooperating.
Trust me, your positive emotions, your positive energy, your positive thoughts, all have a very real, chemical existence that has very real, physical effects on your hormones and your body. What you’re thinking, saying, doing can change your level of happiness. 100%. And that affects your health – all of it, even your skin!
But how do we know what to say, think and do to be happy? Happiness seems very elusive most of the time! It was for me for many years. I personally am actually quite a negative, fearful person by nature. I suffered with depression and anxiety through my entire youth and have just recently started trying to change the trajectory of my being.
I will tell you what I have learned. It is totally possible to change your levels of stress and happiness, I don’t care what your life looks like or how impossible it seems. It’s not so much about changing what is OUTSIDE you as it is changing what is INSIDE you – your reactions, your attitudes, your beliefs. It takes a lot of practice, some meditation never hurts and a whole lot of hope and faith. It takes surrounding yourself as much as possible with people and situations that raise your vibe. That is why I am writing this post today. One of my favorite things to do when I’m feeling down or lonely or even just when I’m working in the lab all by myself just mixing oils and muttering mantras is listen to a good podcast. One that is full of inspiration, information and happiness.
These podcasts are my favorites and I really want to share them with you. They are truly awesome for an immediate mood boost and for a longer term opportunity to begin to really shift your life to a place where gratitude, fulfillment and happiness are abundant every day. They are profound, they are very important to me and I hope you will find some in here that you love as well!
PS – If you have any podcasts you’d like to share, BY ALL MEANS, leave a comment! 🙂
My Favorite Best Wellness Podcasts Top 5 List
Wellness Wonderland Radio has got to be my favorite – Katie Dalebout is a total go-getter and incredibly inspirational just by herself. But her guests are the creme de la creme of the motivational and holistic worlds. She is so sweet and curious and they are so sweet and informative. Katie is about being authentic and curating the best content – and these 2 things truly make this podcast my fave. Consistently great content with a really positive vibe – makes me want to grab all my girls and have a slumber party.
I actually found Shawn Stevenson BECAUSE Katie interviewed him and it turns out he has his own podcast. He and his co-host (I think her name is Jade) have really good energy and are just so kind and loving towards each other. Shawn has done episodes about EVERYTHING from asthma to paleo to anything at all health related. With Katie, I listen to her podcasts in order, whereas with this podcast, I like to skip around in the archives based on what particular topic I’m feeling drawn to in the moment.
Just started listening to this one. LOVE this woman though, and everything she stands for. Found her when I was doing coaching for women with eating disorders and her message is about loving yourself as you are right now, finding the power inherent in your “wild soul.” Really great for some self esteen love and a seriously refreshing perspective shift from traditional media and messaging.
Also just started listening to this one. Quite topical – also about stepping into your personal power and intended for new yoga teachers trying to find their sea legs (or yoga legs). But a lot of truth and wisdom and goodness anyone can benefit from, especially when it comes to navigating conflict, and self-doubt. Also some great insights on becoming a better communicator and a better relationship builder. Kisma is incredibly wise in how she deals with people – a true people genius.
Another fairly topical show – intended for, you guessed it, entrepreneurs. But like above, a lot of great content here anyone can benefit from – lots of tips on what successful and productive people do to be so successful and productive. Great advice on little life upgrades and life hacks that will have you feeling like a million bucks even as that money is still making its way to you. 😉 Very positive, very “enthusiatic” show host. I can get overwhelmed by this podcast sometimes because it is exploding with zest for life and a sort of aggressively positive attitude that is very opposite to my own personality. This is, in many ways, a very masculine show. But I get into it, because it is really inspirational and has amazing guests.
That’s my little list!
Let me know how you like these and if you’d heard of any of them before!
